The three-unit apartment building designed within the urban fabric is an attempt to reconcile communal living with nature on a small scale. Each unit in this building has large, wide balconies enlivened with diverse flower boxes and lush greenery. These balconies not only provide private semi-open spaces for residents, but also enhance the building’s and the street’s environmental quality by creating a green layer on the exterior. In this project, the boundary between indoor and outdoor space is not rigid and closed; rather, with the presence of plants, light, and brick, it has found a fluid and dynamic definition that extends life from the inside out.
